2012 Encore Award Program

Each year, the Encore Awards Program, sponsored by the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley, provides the opportunity for students, parents, community members and business partners to recognize and honor individual teachers at the Pre-K–12 levels in the St. Vrain Valley School District who exemplify excellence in teaching. By paying tribute to the achievement of teachers who have an extraordinary impact on the achievement of students, the Foundation and the community hope to pay tribute to the accomplishments of all teachers. The St. Vrain Valley School District is now providing parents an easy and convenient way to pay student fees. Parents may pay with VISA, Discover or MasterCard credit or debit cards for these items. Our web store accepts payments over the internet 24/7. By contracting with RevTrak, a national credit card payment processor, we provide you a secure site for making payments.

Parents may make payments online while on their home or work computer, any time of the day.   It only takes a few minutes to make a payment using a VISA, Discover or MasterCard credit or debit card. The convenience of paying online is further enhanced when parents access the store and see a familiar shopping cart (just like shopping online.)

To make an online payment follow these simple steps:

• Visit our web store at http://stvrain.revtrak.net or click on the link found on the fees information screen in Infinite Campus or click “Online Payments” found in the Quick Links Section on the District website (www.stvrain.k12.co.us).
• Click on the Middle School link.
• Choose your student’s middle school from the list
• Sign-in to RevTrak.  Your user name is your Infinite Campus login.  Your password is your student’s birthday (mm/dd/yyyy).
• Make payment using a VISA, Discover and MasterCard debit or credit card

A payment receipt will be emailed to the address used when setting up the web store account.  To view/print previous online payments or to update login information please click on My Account.

Payment Instructions for the St. Vrain Valley School District Web Store

• Visit our web store at http://stvrain.revtrak.net
• Click on the Middle Schools link on the left-hand side of the page or the Middle School Payments box in the center of the screen
• Choose your student’s middle school from the list
• Sign in using your Infinite Campus user name and your child's birth date (MM/DD/YYYY)
• Choose the fees you wish to pay
• Click on payment type
• Enter required information (select payment amount from drop down for registration payments)
• Click “Buy Now”
• To make a payment for another fee or student,

       click “Continue Shopping” and select additional
       fee type and fees

• When all fees are in shopping cart, click “Go to Checkout”

• If a new customer, select “I am a new customer.” Enter your email address and “Sign In.” If a returning customer, select “I am a returning customer.” Enter your email address, password, and select “Sign In.”

• Enter your billing and payment information. Create a password if required.

• Verify information for accuracy and select “Complete Order”.

• Payment will be processed and Receipt can be viewed and printed. An emailed receipt will be sent to the email address provided during account set up.

GT Identification:  Search for Students

  Nomination Information

Each year elementary and middle schools in St. Vrain Valley School District complete a process to identify students who demonstrate exceptional ability or performance in one or more academic areas and may therefore qualify for Gifted/Talented educational services.  These students usually perform at least two years above grade level in their strength area(s) and require additional academic challenges in order to support their continued educational growth and progress.  In addition, they usually demonstrate characteristics of unique creativity and high motivation in their strength areas.

The search for gifted/talented students begins with an opportunity for parents and/or teachers to refer students for review.  Once referrals are received, a team of educators review student CSAP data, standardized test scores, rating scales and other school data to determine student eligibility.

If you believe that your child qualifies and would benefit from district Gifted/Talented services, please pick up a nomination form from your school office, or contact your school’s Gifted/Talented resource teacher or liaison, Karen Gardner.

Cada año las escuelas primarias y secundarias en el Distrito Escolar del Valle de St. Vrain completan un proceso para identificar estudiantes en los grados del tercero al octavo quienes demuestren una habilidad o rendimiento académico excepcional en una o más de las áreas académicas y que podrian por lo tanto calificar para recibir servicios educativos por su talento excepcional.  Estos estudiantes por lo regular muestran un rendimiento académico de por lo menos dos años por encima del nivel del grado que cursan en las áreas que le son de mayor fortaleza y requieren de retos académicos para poder apoyar su continuo crecimiento y progreso educativo.  Además, ellos por lo regular muestran características de creatividad única y una alta motivación en las áreas que son su fuerte.  

La búsqueda de estudiantes con talento excepcional o dotados con cualidades académicas únicas se inicia con una oportunidad para los padres y/o los maestros para referir a estudiantes y hacer una revisión de su caso.  Una vez que las referencias son recibidas, un equipo de educadores revisa datos informativos de las pruebas CSAP, resultados de pruebas estandarizadas, escalas de clasificación, y otra información escolar para determinar la elegibilidad del estudiante.     

Si usted cree que su hijo(a) califica y se beneficiaría de recibir servicios educativos por su talento excepcional, favor de recojer una hoja de referencia de la oficina de la escuela, o pónganse en contacto con el/la maestro(a) de recursos de servicios educativos al talento académico excepcional (persona encargada en las escuelas secundarias), Karen Gardner.

Tardy Policy

By St. Vrain District Board Policy, 3 unexcused tardies equals a half-day absence. Students are encouraged to be on time for every period of the day as it could result in attendance infractions. Students who are late for school will be considered unexcused unless parent notification has been made to the school. If a student is on an attendance contract or a timeliness contract, the school will need a doctor’s note for being late.

Since October 4, Coal Ridge began implementing consequences for unexcused tardies. Here’s how it works: A tardy report is run every Monday morning. For every 5 unexcused tardies overall, not just in one class, a student will serve a 30 minute detention and parents will be notified by the Campus Supervisor. Further infractions will be as follows:

•  5 Unexcused tardies =  Office mandated 30 minute detention and parents will be notified
• 10 Unexcused tardies =  Office mandated 30 minute detention and parents will be notified
• Student will sign a Timeliness Contract
• 15 Unexcused tardies =  Office mandated 30 minute detention and parents will be notified
• 20 Unexcused tardies =  Office mandated 30 minute detention and parents will be notified.
• After 20 tardies, students may serve in-school suspension, Saturday School, or other relevant consequences may occur.

A Note from CRMS Kitchen Manager, Vicky Uhlry : The cost of lunch will remain the same as last year, $2.50, and .40 for reduced students. We are pleased to be able to offer breakfast this year as well. It will be available from 7:20 to 7:45.  The cost is $1.50 and free for those who qualify. Free and reduced applications are available in the main office as well as the cafeteria. St. Vrain has a no charge policy for secondary schools, so please make arrangements accordingly.  Any questions, please direct them to Vicki Uhlry, cafeteria manager. Parents may make on-line payments to their student's lunch account at schoolpaymentsolutions.com
